Spoiler Alert - Mapping A Game of Thrones


Now is a good time to catch up on the last four seasons of Game of Thrones. So let's take a little journey down memory lane with the Game of Thrones: The Kings Road Map.

This interactive map of Westeros and Essos provides a recap of each episode of each season of HBO's Game of Thrones. Use the 'Skip to episode' menu links to visit any episode of the four previous seasons of Games of Thrones. You can then use the arrow buttons to progress through the major plot-lines in each episode as they are highlighted on The Kings Road Map.

Check back after each new episode of Season 5 as the site promises to update the map after each episode has aired.


Another good way to recap the past four seasons of A Games of Thrones is to follow the journey maps of some of the main characters. A Map of Ice and Fire is an Esri map of the fantasy world portrayed in George Martin's series of novels A Song of Ice and Fire.

Important locations in the novels are starred on the map. If you click on a star you can learn more about the location's importance in a pop-up information window. As well as this world map of Westeros and Essos A Map of Ice and Fire contains four maps which plot the journeys of some of the novels' major characters,


If you prefer your interactive maps to use the Google Maps API then check out this Game of Thrones map. The Interactive Game of Thrones Map is a Google Map of the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos from George Martin's series of fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire.

As well as including all the locations in a Game of Thrones the map allows you to view the paths of all the characters as the story progresses. To view a character's path select their name from the map sidebar and use the timeline slider control.


The Westeros Map is another Google Map of the fictional continent of Westeros from George Raymond Richard Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novels.

Westeros is the great continent in which the Seven Kingdoms resides and the map shows the location of important places in the novels. Clicking on a link in the map sidebar will zoom the map to the selected location.

Arya's Journey plots the story of Arya Stark,the youngest daughter and third child of Lord Eddard and Catelyn Stark of Winterfell. You can follow Arya's journey be clicking on the markers on the map or follow her journey in chronological order by using the forward and back buttons.

The map includes video interviews with Maisie Williams, the actress who plays Arya in HBO's Game of Thrones, and even includes the trailer for last season. As well as the videos the map features photos from the television program and information about Ayra's story arc within the Game of Thrones.


Game of Thrones is an Esri StoryMap of Westeros and Essos. The map sidebar includes links to important locations on the two continents. If you zoom in on the map the sidebar updates to show links to important locations in the current map view. A drop-down menu also provides quick links to view important regions on the map.
