TSTC Most Dangerous Roads Report
The Tri-State Transportation Campaign (New York / New Jersey / Connecticut) have produced a report identifying the most dangerous roads in the tri-state region for pedestrian fatalities.
Using federal data from 2006 to 2008, the site includes factsheets and a number of Google Maps identifying the locations of pedestrian fatalities and the age and gender of those killed. Counties in downstate New York, New Jersey and Connecticut that had 10 or more pedestrian fatalities over the three-year period were analyzed.
Each county has it's own Google Map (using Google My Maps) to show the locations of pedestrian fatalities, with most dangerous roads indicated in red. Blue markers indicate an adult victim, aged 16 to 59. Green markers indicate a child victim, aged 0 to 15. Pink markers indicate an older victim, aged 60 and up.
