Huge School of Sharks on Google Maps

Australian Coastal Watch

The Australia Coastal Watch website has found a huge school of sharks in Google Map's satellite imagery just off of Bondi Beach. If you want to see the sharks close up then you need to use the zoom control in the top left corner of the map.

In a huge coincidence this discovery comes in the very week of a special Shark Week on a particular Australian TV channel.

This is so fake!! You can see the "sharks" layer load before the satellite image does! Plus, you can't replicate it in regular Google Maps.

I was there and have only one leg to prove it!

Spam/commercial from Discovery Channel Shark Week. Fourth click on the zoom (+) starts the commercial.

Uh I wouldn't call this spam. I'd say it's very clever use of google maps technology. Great viral!
