Create Bike Trails with Google Maps

BikeRouteToaster.com

BikeRouteToaster.com is a bike route creation tool for planning rides. Courses are created using Google Maps and can then be downloaded to GPS with the Garmin Communicator Plugin.

When creating routes you have the option to use auto-routing, so that your track will automatically snap to the nearest roads and paths. It is possible to add 'course points' markers to aid navigation at junctions.

Elevation data is automatically generated and you can view an elevation profile of your completed route. Time data is also automatically generated for use with Virtual Partner. Distance, Total Ascent/Descent, and estimated time are continuously updated while creating a course.

BikeToasterRoute is easily the best bike routing site on the web. I've tried and used many of the other competitors but btr is the fastest and most lightweight site.

It's not as well know as it should be.
