Google Map For Australian Cyclists

NSW Secure Bicycle Lockers

The New South Wales Government in Australia has a great secure locker scheme for cyclists. The secure bicycle lockers allow cyclists to combine cycling with public transport by providing secure places for bikes, helmets and clothing at public transport hubs and stations.

There are now over 1,200 lockers for hire at more than 140 locations across the NSW public transport network. The details about where lockers are located includes a handy Google Map showing the location of the lockers and a Google Maps Street View image of the location.

Lockers can be found at ferry wharfs, train and bus stations. It is even possible to nominate a location that doesn't presently have a locker for the service.

Yay - I made that. How on earth did you guys find out about it?

I must be retarded. I can't find a link to the mashup anywhere. All links I see point to NSW Transport Authority, with maps nowhere to be seen. Please help!

@ Marcelo - 'Locker Locations' link at the top right of the page, then click on any of the locations for a description and map.

To help cyclists find the nearest locker you should put them all onto one single map for navigation. And/or let's import them to bikemap.net as an additional layer. I can do that.

@Peter - Sounds like a good idea. You would have to contact the New South Wales Government directly and put the proposition to them.
