Google Maps on the Run

WalkJogRun iPhone Apllication

WalkJogRun have released a new iPhone and iPod Touch application that will give you access to 400,000 worldwide routes directly from your phone. The application uses Google Maps to display routes on your mobile and built-in location detection to show your location on the route.

Markers on the map show the start (S) and finish (F) points of the route as well as where you (U) currently are in relation to the route. Each route also comes with a detailed description, the distance of the run, the name of the person who created the route and the number of calories you will burn when running the route.

The WalkJogRun iPhone application also includes a "My Routes" feature that lets registered users of the website have instant access to routes that they have created themselves.
