Google Street View Launches in Australia

Google Maps have added street view to a third country with the launch of Google Maps street view in Australia. Below you can see the Sydney Opera House in street view.

Google Australia and The Sun Herald have produced this flip-book video of street views to show the route of the Sun-Herald City2Surf fun run in Sydney:

Google product manager Andrew Foster says,

"Google Maps has its origins as an Australian invention so we're thrilled to bring Street View here as one of the first countries in the world."

I don't know why Google hasn't got map coverage in Argentina. Google released Map Maker last month for users to create maps in some areas where there is currently no map coverage. Unfortunately I have just checked and Argentins isn't one of the countries where it is currently possible to edit Google Maps.
